Paris offers an unparalleled laboratory for interior design students — from Haussmann apartments to contemporary galleries, from the grands magasins to the smallest bistro. Our semester program uses the city as a direct extension of the studio.

Paint, draw, and make

Monet, and Rodin
PAA’s Fine Arts summer workshop combines studio practice with direct engagement with Paris’s extraordinary museum culture. Students work in painting, drawing, and mixed media — guided by faculty who are practising artists.

Baldwin, and Stein
The Paris American Academy Creative Writing program draws on the city’s extraordinary literary tradition — the cafes of Saint-Germain, the bookshops of the Latin Quarter, the streets that inspired generations of anglophone writers in exile. Workshop-based, intimate, and rooted in place.
